Understandig the Problem
The Challenge
St Eval was experiencing steady growth but was being held back by a lack of IT support and an older-style niche ERP that was not performing at the required level. A high volume of processes were still manual based, such as order management, and this was putting a strain on the business.
A new ERP would need to deliver a solution that would give the company control and visibility over its business operations. Cultural fit would play a major part in the rigorous selection process as St Eval wanted a technology partner they could trust and work with as the business expanded.
The Solution
Making it Work
Codestone implemented SAP Business One which provides full visibility and integration of St Eval’s business including stock control, data management and its online shopping platform.
With up to 50% of its business coming via the B2B and B2C ecommerce platforms run by Shopify, a seamless order process and data workflow was critical and is now integrated with Codeless BPA. With SAP Business One, orders are processed automatically directly into SAP where the pick and pack team in the warehouse use the browser-based scanner app Codescan to pick the order and get it ready for delivery.
The demand generated by the SAP implementation has improved St Eval’s production operations because it can run MRP more effectively, supported by new team members including a production planner.
SAP Business One is generating change for the better as processes become more streamlined and automated and the firm looks to focus on how lean manufacturing will deliver even more value.
